CHANGES TO CORI CERTIFICATION

Beginning Monday October 24, 2011, the DCJIS will stop processing CORI Certification applications EXCEPT for those agencies statutorily required to access CORI. All current CORI certifications have been extended through May 4, 2012. If your organization has a current CORI Certification, you will not be required to apply for re-certification.

Any agency which is not CORI Certified as of 10/24/2011 will be required to submit publicly accessible CORI requests. Please see the following link for additional information: Changes to CORI Certification

Current WEB-CORI Processing Time

As of January 27, 2012*

ATTENTION CORI USERS

Traditionally, June, July, August, and September are the highest volume months for CORI requests. Although the current processing time is 5-10 business days, depending on the type of request, the expected increase in the volume of CORI requests over the summer could result in additional delays in processing. Please submit any requests as soon as possible for upcoming summer events; in particular Summer Camps should submit any requests as soon as possible. The sooner requests are submitted, the sooner the results will be returned.
If you need assistance please visit our website at www.mass.gov/cjis.
All other inquiries or comments should be sent as email to: CORI.info@state.ma.us.
Email requests will be responded to as quickly as possible. You may also contact the CORI Unit directly via phone at 617-660-4640.

We understand the importance of this service to the Commonwealth and we continue to work to solve the challenges we face with reduced resources. Thank you.

Listed below are the Processing Times as of January 27, 2012:

 Web Requests:    4-6 business days
Paper Requests/Disk Requests:    4-6 business days
Personal Record Requests 5-10 business days

If you are experiencing technical difficulties regarding CORI Access or need assistance that is not related to WEB-CORI Processing Times, please visit our website at www.mass.gov/cjis and access the CORI Forms or CORI Services links for further information.
